Wii DJ Hero is promising, but is it really for you?

Here is my uncensored review of dj hero and what I really thought about it.

DJ Hero Review Wii

DJ Hero Review Wii

That’s only a review, if you are looking to buy it I recommend Amazon for the most reliable delivery with the best prices by clicking here.

Why am I writing this? Well, when I was dreaming about buying dj hero from the moment it was announced, but there weren’t many reviews around so I thought I’d write one quickly to help any of you who think it is interesting but not sure if you want to buy it or not.

But be warned, I’ll be going into both the good and the bad points, so if that’s something you might not want to hear, then you may as well leave now.

Nuff’ said – there is a lot to cover so lets go…

If you don’t want to read a lengthy review that goes over all the different aspects of the game and you are looking only for the final verdict, here it is…

The game ROCKS !!! if you like this kind of music, and even if during your life you only had 1 minute daydreaming of being a DJ and mixing up some music than order it, and order it NOW !

The game play is easy and accessible, if you feel that during Dj Hero Wii Reviewthe guitar hero history it become more and more complex and the objectives of the game have become more and more complicated than DJ hero brings it down a notch. All you need to do is to mix, collect the stars that will unlock other songs and that’s it.
You cannot lose, the worst thing that can happen is that you will not collect the starts…

The music is great; the mixes were done by some great well known DJs. You can even put it on party play mode, kick back and just listen to the music.

The game design of the club, the mixers and the club crowd are nice. The camera movement are cool and don’t take the focus out of the main thing which is the music and the game play.

The new turntable controller is easy to use and fun to touch and play with, the only downside is that you need some flat surface in front of you.dj hero wii controller review
I must admit that since I never mixed before, at the beginning it was kind of strange using it, and there is a learning curb needed to get the hang of it. The tutorials are fun and take you by the hand through all you need to know, Grandmaster Flash is doing a great work in this part of the game.
The easy and beginner mode will do the rest of the work, since you can never lose the learning is fun and easy and depending on your coordination and the affinity you have with music and mixing, your progress will be fast enough.
The only hick here is the lack of the well appreciated practice mode in guitar hero that you can slow down a song and master it with baby steps.

The game difficulty is building up and if in the easiest modes all songs are doable, in expert mode some are crazy complicated and hard to master.  This aspect of the game makes the fun last longer, for me at least…

After all those months of anticipation I was really happy to discover it and play with it, I love club music like trance, techno and other dj music mix and the game really propels you in this universe.

No hesitation needed order now dj hero wii here.

It seems that this time around non US citizen are going to get badly hit in there wallet.

While the price tag in the US, as you can see here, is set to$120 it has been announced that in the UK the Dj Hero Wii is going to be 107£ the equivalent to a whooping $180.

WoW

That’s way too much…

This start to look very bad for the dudes of the continent.

In Aussie land it seems to be a bit less, but still what is equivalent to $145

Just to remind you the development of the game was made in the UK.

Why???

Anyone has an answer to why the price differences are so important for the Dj Hero Wii ? A bigger market in the continent?

In a recent announcement regarding Dj Hero Wii  Activision’s CEO Mike Griffith. “It’s certainly hitting a more mainstream and expanded audience from Guitar Hero” (Source gi)

Wow, or should I just day Duh!  Finally the ruth is out there. Even though the guitar hero series have put back rock on the map and made many youngsters discover some great music, the record sales do not lie. Hip hop, rap and electronica are way more popular and commercial. Today Dj’s are treaten like rock stars if not better.

Seems to me that most of the bad mouthing regarding the upcoming dj hero wii from Activision is coming from old school rockers that might like alternative music or try to be special but do not see the potential in it.

I never met a lot of people that like both type of music, that’s maybe why the hard core guitar hero fans are giving dj hero such a bad time.

Well I know I can’t wait until dj hero wii Activision is out.

One of the more appreciated tech related news blogs Arstechnica has published a review on the E3 presentation of maybe rather lack of presentation of the Activision’s dj hero.

Is it really just a bad move from the development and marketing crew that had to create the buzz for dj hero, or the game is not that hot ?

I guess we’ll know only when the first real reviews will be available, until then it’s only speculations.

So if I need to speculate, I think that the game will have the learning curve that is necessary in a new game that has a new wii dj hero controller but I also think that if you ever dreamt once to be a dj and rock the party, there will be the same sensations like the guitar wannabes in the guitar hero series.

Have you already pre ordered your copy of the dj hero for wii ?

What do you think of it ?

The DJ Hero Wii price was revealed and it is pre-soled on amazon for 119.00$

This has made a lot of news and created a lot of discussion on the web and in social sites. Is that too much ?

Think about this, a new innovative game, that is not sure to sell 33 million copies like the guitar hero series, years of development, and a totaly new market to conquer while there is already announced a compation on the xbox and ps (game called scratched).

Is this price tag going to hold you from buying ?

DJ hero Wii

A lot of buzz is going on around the net for some DJ hero futre features.

After we learned that there are 10 tracks in the upcoming dj hero wii that will be able to integrate the guitar hero’s guitar to play a dual dj turntable with electric guitar, there is certain pressure coming from the developers to integrate the drum set as well.
Wow, think of that, playing drums over hip-hop, electronica style of music, sounds awesome to me…

Another feature is the ability to integrate the turntable in the future guitar hero games like guitar hero 5 and band hero. Both this games are planned to be published until the end of the yeat.

So the result of all that will be a cross compatabilty with all the “hero” games, that finally you will have to own the guitar, drum set, mic and turntable to be able to play all the different features.

Since I luv so much GH, I really feel it is going to be fun…

Here is the latest interview with Eminem and Jay-Z discussing their collaboration for the new exclusive track, produced specially for dj hero.
